If I drive always stuck in the traffic jam, I'd choose AT.. Comfort but with extra fuel.

Its depend, as for me, I choose AT because it was the trend now. Even, many car manufacturer already come out with the car that has only AT transmission (e.g. Honda City, VIOS). So, I predict in 5 years time, MT will not popular anymore and during that time I think I hardly sell my car if my car MT.

sounded like reasonable but not entirely will happen, i think. MT still plays a very important roll in car industry. major sports car, 4WD, trucks, van and other "performance-sensitive" vehicle will still having MT. not to mention Msian market ppl who like street racing will still get MT over AT.

of course, the argument depends on the target audience of drivers. most of us who been haunted enough by the "great" traffic system would definitely prefer AT. to me, better to have both, when I drive MT during long journey distance is good, especially when cruising through Ipoh hilly places, climbing and gear dragging is good.

cheers! Wink

I have chosen MT over AT, as im working in a small town without jam. at the moment it seems to be a good choice, besides a lower price, good pick up power, the FC is just nice... with full tank of RM70, i can go up to 480-500km (tested couple of times). not too bad. about 13-14km/l...

hope i wont suffer foot problems if i have to work in towns with SUPERB traffic system in malaysia later....

yea yea auto vs manual freaks......well, i guess it dont matter much, its just driving skill and ways to drive safely on da road.......so wat if u can drive fast, change gears and stuff like dat...auto makes u more relax, left leg and hand dun need work out.....and for smokers, auto is surely much easier.....

Auto definitely makes the drive more comfortable. Racing freaks usually go for Manual. But then again I just pull the auto gear to 2 and it performs just like the Manual. Laughing

Heard that auto cars have better second hand value than manual. Probably true considering that the Malaysian traffic is getting worse by the day.
