autosyn,

to the extend of how many ppl in the group - entitled to discount RM900?

let's say if I do the ECU remapping, if I dont satisfy with the outcome, is it money guarantee back? how long is the grace-period to test it?

the grace period is 60 days. The discount is valid for all the members.

any chance to give further discount? still expensive to all of us... RM900 for ECU remapping only... plus not 100% guarantee will save fuel.

i still puzzle. if increase in torque and performance/pickup, wont the FC = increase? how can the performance increase while FC is reduce? so far havent heard of it before...

The price is the best that we can do. We are controlled by Korea and there is a license fee we need to pay them. There is no one who can do this cheaper than us and even if you buy piggyback you will pay more than this price. The FC savings really depend on how you drive. After we increase the power for your car, and you drive very hard the FC will not reduce. This is outside our control.
Right now your car is running very rich fuel mixture and how we improve power and reduce FC is by leaning the mixture and also calibrating it closer to stoichiometric. When your car's combustion is near stoichiometric the car will consume less fuel and generate more power.

Too much fuel will result in in high FC and low power, too little fuel you will get low power and a lot of heat but lowerd FC. your car is now having an extremely rich fuel mixture condition and it is causing a lot of carbon to build up.
Tuning the ECU is not as easy you say it is. Remapping involves a lot of technical knowledge and also the right software to do. The software also cost us more than RM100k for the license.
Furthermore, our ECU tuning will give you more power than air filter and exhaust modification. Doing air filter and exhaust will cost you RM1,200 easily for a good brand. so if you think about the cost of RM900 is not very expensive.

just curious. since the existing accent ECU contain rich AF mixture, can we ask KBSC to tune it for us? will it reset once we disconnect the battery?

KBSB doesn't have the software to reprogram the ECU. all they do is plug in a diagnostic reader and then press the reset button. What this does is just reset the ECU back to the factory standard. this will later change as the ECU learns how you drive.
KBSB has been telling their customers that they can do the reprogramming but they actually cannot. don't be fooled.
If they can do it, they would do it they would do it for all the cars before the cars are sold.
disconnecting the battery is the same as pressing the reset button on the diagnostic reader.

yup, i think SC will just reset the ECU and let it to diagnose the new driving style. now my FC is around 9.8L/100km ... after 3 weeks reset my ECU. i think probably will raise up to <10.5L/100KM...

just live with it. Laughing

We have postponed the tuning session to early November because my partner will be stuck at a meeting on 14th with some corporate clients.
