That's why I flush all the old ATF even still new (16K KM). I did at Autochild as well. So far I have seen 2 brands of SPIII, i.e. Proton SPIII (beware a lot of imitation) & Mitsubishi Diamond SPIII RM110 - 120/4L.
Read from forum that Kia SC uses SK SPIII from Korea.

Nope. Asked KB few times, no reply from them. Contacted Hyundai Korea already.

Have checked other internet forums as well, if the manual says ATF needs SP-III better put in SP-III, otherwise...you know la.

Asked KBSC in Sg Pinang, Penang. They say that the ATF they used to change for us in 20K, 40K etc. is not stated either SPIII or Dexron III grade. Said the ATF is manufacured suitable for any kind of vehicle lah....... damn Twisted Evil

No response from Hyundai Korea, but I have checked their online manual and it also says SP-III.

There's no such ATF that fits all types of AT box.

As for the Accent, I should have found out this earlier that had I not been trusting KB SCs/ASCs putting in the correct stuff. Now, I know majority of SCs can't be trusted, not even Honda ones! Too many monkeys running SCs nowadays.

How to know whether our current fluid in AT box is Dexron III or SP-III? Visual inspection, nope. Majority of the ATF is reddish in colour. There's even fake ATF in the market!

You should try to ask from KB what is the correct grade. Maybe they don't know. Check out Naza Kia forum. After quite a number of ppl having GB problem, then only the SC puts the correct grade.

funny you should mention abt not the correct ATF they have been using, because my GB broke down after few months driving my baby. But after they replace the GB no more problem (touch wood). Thnak God it happened before the warranty expires, so I don't have to pay a single cent. But it was a nuisence non the less, cause SC didn't provide replacement car (they did eventually but they only offering me a manual car so I refused). Since I have to move around it is so depressing. My travel fares shoot up to almost RM200 for almost a week without car.

Although is regarding to your car's GB problem and correct ATF grade of fluid for the GB, your expenses shall clamable under they pants.

The solid reason is they can't replace a car of your same spec. Threaten them to do it or otherwise complaint to MITI. Trust me, they rather to find an AT car for u rather than loose AP for importing cars.
