It doesnt really matter because whatever car you buy today...as soon as it gets out of the showroom, the price already drop 4K-5K...so..dun worry so much abt car value...as long as u happy with ur car...

Agreed. Market value is the human prescribed value, not the cost of the car.

My take on this is that the drop in second hand value for cars is a no-brainer here. Car depreciate the moment we drive out of the show room and the value can be due to various factor of things including the low demand for Hyundai cars

The fact that a drop in car brands will mean that for strong local brands to compete effectively, they will also have to lower the prices of their cars. Doesn't matter if the second hand value TODAY is high or low. If u just bought it last year..ud probably wanna sell it ..in 3 - 5 years, rite?

Hello..

First post here, so please don't club me over the head too much..

I've been looking at the posts you've been making in regards to prices and have been making currency conversions to the US dollar. Am I wrong, or is the market there pricing at an average of twice what we pay
here in the US?

I bought an Accent a year ago and so far, have enjoyed the car very much.

Thanks, David! I'm glad to know that I've got a grasp on the conversions and can apply that to things like aftermarket as well... Although I'm a newbie on aftermarket stuff..
