for city driving you are better off using the drop in filter as the open pod will suck in more hot air and you will lose low end torque.
Use a drop in air filter and then do a cold air ducting to feed in cool outside air into the air box. This will significantly improve the response and low end power.

thx for the reply guys!

i oso heard that SW is the distributor for K&N here...

wat kakimotors quoted me for the OpenPOD are as below:

- K&N 3" filter (OpenPOD) RM270
- zerOne pipe RM100
- rubber hose connecting the engine block to the pipe RM30
- rubber tube (silicon) RM30

p/s: total of RM430 (discount already given) and inclusive of installation.

Any comment on this? i'm not really happy on the price on the 3" filter... RM270 is kinda pricy... if not mistaken i think can get RM200+ for the filter else where... dunno can buy the filter somewhere else and go to kakimotor to get the remaining items and have installationd done there onot... open pod without heatshield is pointless, u will sucks in more hot air and your FC goes up and the result is even worst than normal drop in filter.

nice sharing but this set of injection kit was old and the disadvantages is you will sux in hot engine air becoz w/o a heat shield, or better with a air box.

i been studying a newer K&N release with encapsulated airbox and thinking for doing this project soon, will also need to relocate battery to the boot for optimal performance and effect, but i will use this on my MT car instead because open pod good for MT cars.

the cost of all could strike RM1k or lower. Cool
