the theory is simple, 13" to 15" give u more rubber... means more fraction... means more resistent on the road. so now u put on open pod, to suck in more air to "reimburse" the "lost" feeling, but as it is the same?

I think his is an open pod type. And I think I get his meaning about the auto transmission FC.

Although Auto transmission car they don or cant drag the gears... But its kinda slow in picking up. Hw fast the car goes depends alot on hw hard you accelerate and the auto gear change... The harder you accelerate, the harder the engine runs. The harder it runs, more air in take.

Try comparing with stock filter of both auto and manual car FC with same C.C. Manual tends to deliver better FC. *That is disipline in driving*.

I guess thats what he's trying to say ba... He's using open pod if I'm right.

Yes i am the one driving RX-S without the air-scoop. Laughing

Anyway, still dun get it why A/T can't use Open POD.. Confused
Wht i know is, Open POD get cool air. And cool air is better than Hot air for better power when burns in combustion chamber.

Of coz M/T will be more pick up than A/T. But compare A/T with Open POD and A/T without Open POD, for sure A/T with Open POD will get more power right?

Rivaldo, it's not that you 'CAN'T' use the open pod. We are just saying that you can always use them but at the expense of FC. To some of you, it doesn't really matters. (As long as you LIKE what you are doing).

Take Drifters for example. Have you ever heard them say, "'Man! the maintenance to my suspension and tyres is 'expensive!!!'". If a drifter were to have said that, he should not even drift in the first place. Right? If you can afford the FC for the power you crave for, why not?
'NEED FOR SPEED!'

Just bear in mind the following, cool air does not nessacary give you maximum power. If the air is too cold, engine wear is due to increase.
If it's too hot, performance is defitenely affected.
It's the 'RIGHT' temparature which is going to give your ride the best she needs.

Just installing the open pod will not give you any cold air intake. Infact, the stock intake boxes have got cooler air intake comparing to the open POD. And remember that, 'cold air can never be found anywhere below the hood'. The air funnel intake as suggested by David is great recommendation. The 'ART' is finally left at how you are going to placed it.

Good Luck!
