2nd hand price is actually depends on the public's request. But with Accent getting better in quality, soon it will be better in 2nd hand price.

yes, it also depend to public demand too. if other brand car = too many in the market, somehow it will bring down the 2nd-hand value.

if accent demand is high, i bet the 2nd-hand value is high too.

If that is the case, then I see there is a price hike, my car last year (Aug 2004) OTR for AT is RM59K, while MT is RM57K.

I totally agree with what noname said. Accentís popularity canít compete with Vios, City, Waja and Gen2 because of a few reasons. The main reason is people perception on Korean car makers. The other reasons shall be fuel consumption, maintenance, spare parts, 2nd hand value and physical appeal. I think price should not be a main factor because Vios and City are priced even much higher.

For me, except physical appeal and fuel consumption (slightly higher), I do not regret buying an Accent.

Another reason is that I hardly see advertisement and promotion for Accent on mour media, such as newspaper and TV ad.

Wile City and Vios regularly come out with attractive full-page coloured advertisement on newspaper, itís sad to see an unnoticeable plain small column for Accent.

Furthermore, a lot of people like to complete reviews on Japanese and local cars on newspaper. But complementary views for Korean cars are rare.

Talking about FC, I not quite agree. Mine having quite good FC for 1.5L c.c. car.

About advertisement, I think Kah Bintang start to having more and more advertisement.

for FC, it can be vary from time to time. for short distance, FC for accent is high... i have to admit it... like fetching my wife to work and coming back. average around 20KM.... FC is around 11.xlitre/100km... due to jam, traffic n etc...

as long ur drive is moving (not stop n go style), FC shouldnt be so high. really depend.

KB now having more advertisement for hatchback version. didnt see much on accent sedan version.

I did see advertisement on Accent Hatchback version on The Star. But it's an unnoticeable small column, far less attractive than City and Vios which were frequently advertised for full colour page.

yup. i agreed...for all the opinion above but from my experience..accent still the good car to drive...like my RX-S, for me the FC & maintanance still low (with standard engine and sparepart loo)...also depend the way u drive it...steady in jem and no hal to speeds on highway ( i try test drive to full paddle -klia highway..maybe more than 180km/h-the control still ok)...the first time i see the accents when the RX-S is out..i dont have to think twice to buy it...its a nice car to drive in daily use with the sporty looks..
for me to make the accents popular to youngster is to provide with youngster needs (the looks & performance)...kekekek.. Very Happy
