I think its possible. If the thief can crack the immobilizer, i suspect he should have some connection with the security manufacturer. Its a possible that the manufacturer can crack it since they well understand the product which is design by them. Wink

Have your heard of immobilizer being deactivated by steal factory codes?

so far unless we install captor, chances to recover the lost/stolen cars are minimum. actually there are no much to debate on this issue so far, except we can just introduce new tools for members here.

I think no matter how good is the security system, there should be some expert to break into it. Crying or Very sad

agreed. just the matter of time and whether they want to steal it.

as long ur stay is not 'attractive' enough, like adding this and that... will attract the thief to steal it.

Emm. I just bought AutoLock Pro 1640 yesterday at Jaya Jusco... it cost RM165 but I got RM40 rebate as Jusco Card member.. Laughing Quite dificult to installit since our accent breake puller is short.. need some time to fix it and it quite heavy so i put it in the hood behind... Laughing
As the sticker and cover I don't want to used it because, by understand of human mind, if you put the sticker or cover it seem that you 'cabar' the car thief to try to steal yor car... i think the 'inventor' just used it as free advertisement media so other people who park beside you will say.. "wahh that car got autolock maa!!".. hehehee

just 2 cents opinion... Laughing

I am also using Autolock but it's the older one 1440. Wonder what's the difference with the 1640. I am also using a T-Rex steering lock the very compact one if u go to the website i mention for convenience of storing it. This steering lock, locks at the spock of the steerin. Even the thief cut the steering also cant take out the lock.

someone told me the 1640 more suitable and easier to operate under our car brake pedal, not too sure about 1440.

Yes initially i had problem putting in the lock but i discovered that by putting to the right side of the pedal it could fit in quite easily.

same as mine, so far i see the different between 1440 and 1640 is the key lock of 1440 is facing side while 1640 facing front up.
