Hey people,

My sis bought a MyVi (A/T) and we had to wait for almost 8 months to get the car. When we're about to ask for a refund, the car was ready for pickup within the next few days.

Anyway, I've the chance to drive the car for sometime and its worth the money spend on.

Even Perdua had to speed up production, the finishing and quality was much better compared to its elder brother P.

Handling wise, its a bit on the soft side cause of the mid-range springs. I guess they focus on comfort. During conners/bends about 80km/h, it responds well but due to the hight of the car, you may feel that its not stable.

Power, so far for a 1.3VVTI engine, the power is sufficient for city driving but have not fully tested it on a long journey with 4 adults in it. It is also responsive when the accelerator is pressed but a little slower when there is 4 adults in the car.

FC: Not able to comment cause have not tried on a highway and its my sis who is driving it. Knowing her style, 2 full tank to a week! Hmmmm...

As for the body/skeleton structure, its much more solid but with its wide body design, it does not give a bit of stability on high speed. HSV is above average for its price and class.

Just a note:My review is based on personal experience with the car and not able to compare with Accent due to different specs, build etc.

More to come when I'm going outstation soon.

agreed with david. when i read marky posting, i was laughing... Laughing 1.3VVTi... ahaha... from toyota engine ke?

anyway, i heard good review of myvi so far. some have negative respond - maybe due to high expectation from it. as for FC, is average like full tank can go up to 400km++. still better than accent...

Read somewhere that they're using the same engine configuration but different name for MyVi and Avanza.

You can't compare FC with Accent cause of the size, weight, build, design, engine etc...
If you transfer MyVi's engine to our Accent, FC will suffer and if you put Accen'ts engine inside MyVi's body, FC is like heaven! hahahaha...

Its not easy to compare cars unless its the same frame .. something like Iswara old hatch back with the new hatch back. That is almost comparable.

no... i didnt compare it with accent. just MYVI alone...

based on it's size and weight and 1.3cc DVVT engine, should have better FC. but somehow didnt get a good FC

Which one are you referring to? M/T or A/T?

From what I know, 1.3cc DVVT A/T has a very bad FC cause of its Weight to Power ratio.

I'm not sure for the M/T how is the FC. Maybe one day will know.

for those yg nak beli Myvi-go ahead..my borther use one.
FC-OK
Interior Ok-modern look and some got aftermarket design(passo-etc)

Buttttttttttt recomend you if got some lebih money- change the suspension. For myvi one(of coz due local spec/downgrade version than passo) the suspension absorb the mudhole etc..saling tk ubah macam kancil Evil or Very Mad
Somemore when u drive at highway and wanna to overtake and back to the lane immedietly u can feel the car "melayang"..
That why on our local car mag got a lot of acc shop offer the advanced spring/absorber for the myvi. They expected that Rolling Eyes

And the respond of 1.3cc (AT) while on highway(even OD of) for me-UNDER POWER!!..maybe the body quite heavy.
