my SP-III 20k km already turned quite black so i changed at my 20k service, at my SC here but expensive. ori Hyundai ATF SP-III fr Korea, 2.5 litre for RM100! comes in 1L white bottle.

i intend to change every comin 20k km. cheaper to change ATF than to service or change GB if problems come! touch wood! Laughing maybe will look around for cheaper SP-III, such as d Proton's or Mitsubishi Diamond.

DOT 3 confirm got white. my kancil is using it, bought from P2 SC. it's supplied by Petronas.

Jinmin is using SP-III - RM15 per litre... is red-color. so i just use it and so far, it met the manufacturer spec on ATF oil... so doesnt care much.

if i hear or feel funny on gear, then will change to better one. i was quite shock to see the ATF oil - almost black color when draining it. ahahaha...

stock car brake oil is DOT3

ok, go ahead, screw them, use a phillip screw driver size 10

if can, better change at 20,000km coz the oil is almost black....

i oledi debate with them until they kinda angry and ignore me at first... then i keep quiet and ask them to service this and that... saying dont touch my K&N filter, spark plugs and brake fluid... ahaha

lazy to argue with them lah. surely each service centre saying their centre is the best...

Guys, SPIII and Dexron III are both different specs. Don't ever use Dexron III in your Accent Auto, you are asking for an early gearbox konk! Look at your car manual.

however, becareful of the service centre. sometimes if they NOT honest enough, they will trick you to put DEXRON III on your auto car...

beware...

Hi,

Just thought I'd bring this back to topic...

Instead of my usual authorised SC, I went to Jimin on Friday for my 25k service.

The customer service is quite good. Very friendly & respectful, professional, and willing to answer questions.

The actual car service is good too... when I went for my 20k service I was asked to change the battery because it was too weak. They said the price of car batteries was going up soon (which was true) and advised me to buy the battery now. Rolling Eyes

After checking the battery power I decided there's no need to change it, and 5k later my battery is as good as ever, no probs at all. When I asked about it, the service guy said "Yes, it's recommended to change the battery every 2 years, but this battery is still ok. No need to change yet. When you get problems starting the engine, then only change"

+10 points for honesty Very Happy

Even though it was a minor service, they were thorough and inspected everything for me. Even removed the tires and cleaned the brakes.

The ONLY thing that I would criticise is that they could be faster. They're not slow, but for me that's the only way for them to improve. Give faster service. Smile

All in all I recommend them. Smile I went there to see what Jimin is like before my next major 30k service. Even though I live in Ampang, I'm willing to make the journey to Sunway to have my car serviced there. The peace of mind is more important to me than any extra time needed to travel there.

Hope that minor info helps you decide on whether or not to go to Jimin. Hopefully I'll be back to contribute after the 30k service.
