Are you sure bout that is a wiring issue. Many cars dun have that sound when they are newly bought but after a year or 30,000km drive then sound will be heard.

Me also experience it and was thought is some losen thing in the dashboard.

the vibrating sound from the dashboard is gone now, during the 20k service (which cost me 420 at sg pinang KBSC Penang, ouch) the mechanic adjusted something in the hood near the firewall. not sure what the heck was it, but it solved the problem.

bought some hood insulation material and asked an accessory shop to install it. what a waste of RM70, doesnt reduce any sound. need to cover the whole car in triple-layered getah keping next time, i think (if you come from felda you'll know what getah keping is). hahaha...

how come the test drive car sounded so quiet? CBU unit? damn it, i'm never buying a CKD car again, ever, period.

anyway, i installed the hood insulation (full sized, not the small pieces by KB) was not because of noise suppression but more towards protecting the paint job on the hood from engine heat.

i think everyone sort of realize that our engine giving out higher temp compared to other cars. if you come out from your car and stand beside the car, you'll know what i mean. you can feel the heat!

cannot compare apple with orange. diffrent size and ect.

if you compare accent with merc, bmw, luxury toyota/honda, then surely accent will lose.

if you compare against the same category like honda/toyota, then i admit accent is bad in term of insulation. i can hear wind noise barely less than 1 year old car... now seem like getting worst but oledi immune. live with it.

if you increase the volume on your stereo, you can hardly hear noise from the outside..see problem fixed.

you just need to stand beside the front tires to realize this after driving about 10km... or touch the front rims (not recommended).

and i noticed all korean-origin cars are like this, including GM-Daewoo Chevrolets (Optra, Aveo).

I actually wanted to post about it yesterday but i thought it was only happening to me. The hood gets very hot and especially if it rains lightly, mist forms on the hood even when i have just been driving a few minutes. Is it just me or are there others with similar problems. And if there are ways to rectify the problem. I was to point fearing that the heat will melt the wires and other stuff in the car.

thanks.

It is hot, yes. But, that's is not a problem. All the cables used are designed to withstand the heat. Otherwise, your car is gone already. Dont worry.

However, please put an insulation layer beneath the hood to protect the paint and maybe provide some noise suppression as well.
