well it might not be those kind of fancy alarms which cost few thousands but it is certainly reliable

yupe. slbeh. I alway forgot to press alarm and open the boot. Alarm will trigger and after alarm press to open the door alway with 3 times sound instead of 2 times and alarm light is permanently on. It's normal same as some alarm system to warning to owner your car has been open before without using alarm. Last time my old car got 4 difference sound as indicator. 1 time - Close the door, 2 times - open the door, 3 times - door open before without using alarm, 4 times - your alarm trigger before maybe due to some people want to open your door handler, hits your tyre and ur windscreen ... Alarm will back to normal only when you start your car again. Not yet try our accent got 4th times sound or not. Any people try before?

hmmm, it look familiar to my ex-car alarm. is it from viper brand alarm? i like it so much...

hei guys...my accent has a anti hijack system
the brand is clifford...everytime u open the driver's door u haf to key in ur password..if after 20 seconds and still not key in yet the engine will shut down..basically the hijack sys cuts ur fuel injection Very Happy Very Happy

i remember my father's nissan vannette C22 had a keycode system, you had to enter a pin number to deactivate the alarm.

btw, i dont think accent has enough resale value and market demand in malaysia to be a target for theft. the thief would have a hard time trying to sell the car, even if they chop the car it will be hard to sell all the junk Kah Bintang accessories hahahah...

to me, alarm is good up to a certain limit, the best thing is to lock your brakes (AT) or clutch (MT) using Autolock, cheap and effective.

the thief saw this gadget will pas cause its worthless stealing your car.

and piece of advise:

1. never leave laptops in cars, nowadays i still hear people shouting about their laptops stolen in cars.... thought this has become public knowledge !?

2. no coins or notes keep in the car at visible location

3. don't over tint your car, either your trouble comes from police or break-in thief... lolx XD

4. nothing, just go back to item 1, 2 and 3 ... hahahaaha

captor also a good choice but the aftermath damages might be there...

I was thinking to replace stock alarm with viper alarm cost less than RM500 (if any) with basic function, no need 2 way, remote start, ...etc.
Heard that viper system is good, warranty for 3 years.

the stock alarm is already equivalent to viper. no need to change lar. install card imobilizer system. that would help a lot. will cost you around RM700.

no offense, but nobody will steal this car leeerrrr....
the only thing i think people would want to steal from my Accent is the Pioneer head unit.

but if you feel like wasting money on expensive alarm, go ahead. it's your money, to each his own i guess...
