Ok, I found the explanation of GoldDust, its a cheaper version of VKool.

The official/newer version for VKool 70 is better.

It even claimed that with Vkool, the FC is better. Rolling Eyes

yup, just installed V-Kool. U-Kool really suck man... *sorry, no offence to others*

i installed V-Kool Elite 70... currently the best one which JPJ allowed. Cost RM1,600 (think they add extra RM100 to remove existing u-kool and clean it)...

3 type of v-kool... from low to top...

1) VKool - Golddust - Absorb heat around 60 to 65% MAX...
2) VKool - like greenish colour - Absorb hear around 70%...
3) VKool - black colour - Absorb heay around 90% (if not mistaken) but this one have to order from US plus is not approved by JPJ yet coz is dark colour...

standard price for VKool Elite 70 should be around RM1500... try to bargain lower. MY bro-in-law do his new honda accord for only RM1500. Collegue - Vios also RM1500... so no different.

Thank you for sharing. Now I am wondering if the salesman who sold the car to me and left KB still can get me VKool 70 at RM1K or not. Rolling Eyes

Take note, those who wanna do the real V-Kool Elite/70 grade.

Don't be fooled by so-called V-Kool Golddust. It's a marketing gimmick/confusion to confuse the unsuspecting customer. Golddust and the real V-Kool are totally different thing altogether. Do a bit of research on the background of both companies and you will find V-Kool and Golddust has no relationship whatsoever with each other. Golddust is another brand of tint film a lot lot cheaper and lower performance and quality than the real V-Kool Elite/70 grade. All auto V-Kool series traditionally named 60,70,75 but sometimes renamed as Elite, Crystal, etc...marketing ma...

Elite/70 grade is the top auto heat reflection performance in tint film with 70% light pass thru. Check the fine technical prints and you will see why one is paying a PREMIUM over all other tint films.

If one had installed so-called V-Kool Golddust, then don't say you had not be warned. Trying to save one or two hundred RM will make you regret. Usually, the so-called V-Kool Golddust they will only tint the front screen V-Kool 70 and the rest Golddust low/mid range series. Therefore, the so-called product V-Kool Golddust in the market.

Even the market of V-Kool Elite/70 tint package can be two different tint combination which consist of:
1. Full real V-Kool Elite/70 all round, including windscreen.
2. Part V-Kool Elite/70+75, 75 grade (cheaper) on windscreen and rest is 70 grade.

If you getting V-Kool, it pays to make sure you are getting the real thing. Good luck. Hope this info helps.

I installed my V-Kool at the V-Kool office at PJ there.
The marketing person also told me that Goldust and V-Kool as chkwong said is of different quality and a lot lower but because its manufactured from the same factory plant people think its also V-Kool.
