I'm using accent RXS5 year 2006. 2 months ago i change to a new sport rim from 15" to 17".During that time i used tire 205/40R17 from Bridgestone. no problem happened.

But last 2 week i change to a new tire 205/45R17 Eagle F1-Vtread from Goodyear. The problem is my tire is not touching to the wheel arch but touching to the absober.

Spacing between my tire to the absorber i think less than 2cm. During i drive on the wavy road with speed 90km/h , my tire will touch to the absorber. Only on the rear right hand side.

Anybody have an idea what i need to do.

the new tires (45) are thicker than the previous (40), that's your problem. try and exchange the tires to the previous size.

if it's touching only on the right side, check camber and toe first.

you also might have a broken absorber, i experienced this when i noticed ride height was not the same between left and right front.

Better you check what Bro Ropai mention. Check your camber and toe.
Maybe right side little bit out of alignment. Just spend rm 20.00 to 40.00 settle prob.. If cannot also, my advice is try install wheel spacers adapters (alluminium material). Thickness about 3mm to 10mm. Kebanyakkan kedai tayar ada jual this thing. This thing will changes your gap between tyre and absorber (more clearance spacing) also avoid touching touching sound. Kindly changed both side (left & right).
