After getting my new Accent last month, I feel not so comfortable when driving on normal road (lubang, bonggol, jalan tak rata). If Highway is ok. The rear suspension is very soft like no absober installed and only spring was play all the time. When I drove "test drive car" at showroom before buy this car, everything absolutely perfect. The SA person said all front & rear abs is gas type. Have anyone of you facing this matter same as me? Please help me to rectify and solve this issue.

zam, I feel the same too. Sad
Ya, our new Accent gives a very comfy, very silent ride on smooth roads. Very Happy But when driving across speed humps, holes, etc... Embarassed

Maybe the best solution is to get a set of Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs. Ayam saving up $$$ for it... Twisted Evil

you means change only spring? how about absober? DannyK, have you already try that set? If our car is full loading with 5 passanger, outside people will look and say"wah you punya kereta macam bot/sampan oooo...." Which one are very important? spring or absober?

for handling & height issue, need to change spring (Eibach poison!)...

if you want to improve comfort, need to change absorbers..

correct me if i'm wrong here, but coilovers have non-adjustable spring rate. only the absorbers have adjustable rates.

to accomodate for racing needs, the springs have to be quite stiff. not recommended for daily driving (unless you're into masochism, no offense hehe)

According to all of your's feedback, now i'm think to find gas type rear absorber for replacement my very very soft abs. I must changed this original abs because every day I kena lalu jalan yang ada "bonggol" (50 "bonggol"). It's is very soft and I need to cross the "bonggol" very slowly. My car still jumping-jumping & rolls 2 or 3 times after crossing the "bonggol". Car driver behind me must thinking that my abs was out of date. Where I can get the rear abs gas type suitable for accent? Hard absorber (gas) + stock spring (original) ......if installed this combination to my car, what is the advantage & disadvantage? For senior, sifu, otai, that have experience on this matter hope you all can advice me and another junior members.

Very Happy
If ayam not mistaken, there are no aftermarket absorbers for our 2008 Accent, yet. Even Eibach springs are not yet available. Sad

Eibach is available for 2008 Accent MC, check with Kakimotor Sunway.

I think GAB also have sports absorber, try and ask them too.

To stiffen the rear, ask for Ultra Racing rear anti-roll bar. Will make you corner like the devil himself Twisted Evil

Kakimotor website takda, wan? Confused

Eibach is sports springs onli...ayam mo' interested to improve the ride comfort, need mo' shock absorption...sports springs can improve ride comfort?

Hotbits coilover are already available, though...RM2,800 per set. But dunno will it make the ride overly stiff. Any coilover users out there can comment? Ayam a novice in car mods...what's a coilover like? If I buy coilover, do I still need springs? Or is the coiover = absorbers + springs in one? Pls advise sifus and brothers... Very Happy

I still cannot found yet the abs (gas type) for my accent MC. DannyK & Ropai, are there any difference with the rear abs between Accent MC & LC?

zam79, U can actually search for abs for Kia Rio 1.4/1.6 2006 onwards, as Rio and Accent/Verna are essentially 2 cars with the same Hyundai-Kia DNA. Wink

zam79, accent is tuned for comfort. That's why it's a bit soft.
