how sever you are using? always on heavy load on rear car?

i heard that sometimes when you go over a hump/bump too fast and often, it will damage the absorber too.

AFAIK, 3 ways:

1. over road bump, the absorbers does not "abosrb" the force, you feel like using a super hard coil-overs.

2. swing your door to close and your car swings.

3. physical inspection of leakage of oil (if using oil yours)

Our absorber is using oil type.

As for the indications, you will feel that ur car's handling degrade and u feel weird. Another way is to get it tested. They are suspension tester. I think N1 racing have it. I did a test on my suspension in Penang, bukit Mertajam. There is one shop equip with suspension and brake testing machine. it can how how well ur suspension is performaning.

im not sure whether can use these method to test the absorber or not. done it on my ex-iswara.

1) park your car on flat surface road.
2) go to side rear bonnet (trunk) and press down the car using your hand (force).
3) then you let go and count how many times it bound... e.g. if it bound for around 1.5 to 2 times, then your absorber is alright.

how to measure? the bound started when you press down your bonnet, normally it will bound up and down again ... and then back to normal position.

sequence - down (starting) => up => down => back to same position (middle). this is 1.5 times bound.

for 2 times bound = down (starting) => up => down => up => back to same position (middle).

give it a try. no harm... but im not sure whether this is accurate to say the absorber is spoilt or not.

The time I ask the sale person, he said the absorber is gas type...so that why I think my car is not good in handling rough road, quite noisy.....

May I know what brand is our absorber? KYB? APM?
Will look outside and not KBSC / authorized SC which is more expensive
