i going to had my 1st 1000km service. i had few questions, pls help me.

1) i not sure about fuel consumption. my car send quite haevy used of fuel. for city drive, i means in PJ, 1 tank cause about rm77 (my 1st tank in Petronas) just only drive for around 400-450km. For outstation (North-Sorth highway) 1 tank can drive around 600km. it that normal? which brand of petol better? any suggestion? bcoz my previous only can use Petronas, other than tat not so effective.

2) i encounter a funny problem. i suspect it com from air-cond. it seem like ppl share it b4. i start engine in the morning (or everytime the car had been cool down) once i on air-cond b4 i start drive, there is a sound com from engine side, tis sound will last for 5-10min, only com out when i press petrol. After few times, i try start drive the car for 5-10 min then on the air-cond, no sound. Any ppl encounter tis funny problem?

3) air filter. my car air filter terrible bad. it seem like no filter at all. all smoke oso can smell inside d car. its that tis happen for ascent car? an imported car o...

4) i saw broucher said that for A/T car the side mirror got heater. How its work? is tat auto on or i need to turn it on?

i think tat is, will b added in future if find out more.

thx...

welcome to the club leejosh, first of all i invite you to introduce yourself at Welcome & Members Introduction section.

Now answering your questions:

1. Your fuel consumption is normal.

2. Your air-cond also normal, that is because your fan belt haven't run-in/warm up. Mostly all cars having the same scenario.

3. That has nothing to do with air filter, its the shutter door of outside air, on your next service, address this to KBSC people, they know what to do.

4. Yes, you can turn on the side mirror heating when you turn on the heating at your rear windscreen.

Hope this answer your question.

grounding does not save FC, those are bullshits.

the only way to save fuel is don't drive, take cab or bus. seriously. perhaps the right answers to most people are improve fuel consumption:

1. correct AFR - do ECU remapping

2. improve air intake

3. improve exhaust output

4. plan your trip to avoid traffic

5. dont speed and stop too drastic

6. use a higher octane fuel

7. use aircond when needed

8. keep your window close while driving

9. drive MT instead of AT

10. off the engine if idling for long time

11. recycle your rubbish

12. preserve energy

and lastly buy me a ice lemon tea after talk so much.. lolx

RXS5.... By the time you meet David, your calculation needs to revise.

It should be: "ice lemon tea" + (interest) = Dinner / Supper

He wrote so much, "ice lemon tea is not enough"..... sound like James Bond...huh.... "the world is not enough".

Ha, ha, ha..... where have you been? Long time missing.

your FC is consider alright to most of us. is all depend to your foot on the pedal. if you drive slowly and dont accelerate it in sudden, keep it below 3,000rpm... then your FC will improve.

however, if you stuck in jam, then FC will increase.

mine is 27 litre (RM52) can last me around 240 to 250km. live with it.

guys, i had bad experience during my 1st service (1000km service) in SC in Jln 222. so suck!!!

what a bad customer service, not even say morning to a customer who waiting there 1/2 hour to queue...

no explaination... no explaination on what they going to do or even what they had done, just tell u: finish oredy, sign here n go there pay ur money.
tat is... u can go back oredy...
WTH!!! i even dono wat they do to my car, no listen to my question oso...
very dissapointed!!! i though foreign car SC should b better, wat supid idea!!

guys, u know, after finish service, car wash (free for 1st 3 service), my car was putting there for more than 1/2 hour, i dono wat they going to do, no checking or testing ( i saw there was a signboard writing : last inspection, i though they should do testing b4 deliver to me). wen i ask, they say still washing, however it was finish 1/2 hour ago. until i scream to them, then they say: oh just finish, but they lost my checking list, need time to find.

guys any suggestion of SC in PJ area? i saw booklet say sunway got 1, is that better???

one advise. if you have some faulty part need to claim, then only go back to Jln 222. Otherwise can go to Jinmin Auto... is good.

i already ban Jln 223 right after my 3rd service. bad customer service and i dont like them. always like to point the finger back to us and said is our fault when we claim the fauly part. they said we mess it up and etc.

anyway, it didnt mean that all overseas sc is good. i heard many bad news in toyota and honda sc too. so i think - as long they have the attitude of "tidak apa" attutide, no matter where they go, they will tarnish the car branding...
