Code: | From a china auto forum,I conclude some information about Chery A160 based many A160's owners experiences.
1) all of the owners confirmed that it's a quite safe sedan due to its design of safe bodywork.
2) A160 is believed a car of good drivability.
3) It's a durable car.I mean it rarely have big problems(for example, problems of engine or gear-box,which will take you much money and time to repair). So in China A160 is chosen as a taxi by many people.
4) It's powerful and have a good acceleration performance.
5) It have a good shock absorption performance due to its air suspension.
Sure it have some fault, some people are not satisfied with its
noise because when its speed over 100km/h, the noise will make you
a little uncomfortable.
while its sales of more than 200,000 units show it's worthy of trust. |

Just curious:
1) Safe Bodywork and design. How would a person actually know what is safe bodywork? Proton is a safe bodywork as claim. Do you think so? See my point.
2) Powerful and sure it has a good acceleration because its actually a 1.6cc car with 16v. Our Accent is 1.5cc with 12v engine.

From Autoworld by nufcToon
Code: | Hello,
I just went to Alado showroom at Bukit Tinggi, Klang last Sunday
(17/7/05). There were 2 cars on display. Inside the showroom is one
Comfort model, selling for RM61,623.10. Outside the showroom has one unit
of Basic model for test drive, selling for RM56,493.10. Both also manual
transmission. The difference between them are: Wood paneling, ABS, 6-disc
player and 6 speakers. I have to say that the design in the cabin is
rather out of date. Shallow glove box (at least got one here!), ugly air-
cond vent, short front seat and etc. But you can feel the spaciousness in
this car, its pretty airy inside since the air-cond is cold enuff (test
drive around 1.30pm). I have to admit that the built quality is above
average though. No mis-alighment of parts and rattling sound!! However,
externally, I like the design. It looks OK (a big one too!) The headlamps
and rear light cluster looks classy, something like Mazda6, a lots of
chrystal lights here and there.
Now come the exciting part: test drive (actually test ride).
When the SA starts the engine, he actually asked me to stay outside to
listen to the engine sound. I was impressed !!! The engine sound is just
like BMW or Benz if you were blind folded by them. Very solid sound!
Then we started our test drive journey. The SA drove off slowly. 1st gear
to get the car moving, 2nd gear, moved faster, then something funny
happen: 3rd gear, speedometer shows 30 km/h. The SA let go of the cluth
and accelarator at the same time!!! The speed slowly reduced to 20 km/h
and stay there moving slowly and constantly, as if he is driving a AUTO
transmission car. The car never jerked and no sound at all from gear due
to slow speed!! This is one thing I do not understand until today. CAn
anyone pls explain why???
After that, the SA press hard on the accelerator and the car speed off
and SA changed to 4th gear then finally 5th.
We ran over a lots of pot holes, speed bumps (I mean A lots) and the
felling is just so good to be in the car. Quiet, comfort and no sudden
vibration in the car. I enjoyed the ride, really.
Too bad the car only come with manual since my wife actually wanted to
buy if have Auto. SA said G not allowed to bring in Auto. A160 is wholly
CBU from China. Loan interest is only 2.7% for 5-7 years.
Go test drive/ride one, then you come and bash me if i make any wrong
remarks.
Just my 2 cents!!
---------------
Never mind the rest, Toyota is really good enuff!!
But no thanks to f**king UMWToyo SC Mal ! |

have gone to see this car...
claimed to have german technology... but still not sure the built quality.. china CBU mah...
the meter penal so plasticky, feel like... even the penal design of iswara is better...
so the interior design cannot compair with accent lol.
the exterior design, although a little bit old fashion, but still ok for me...
the radiator design is a bit different from cars we normally see _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
