may i know what is the different between the item 3 and 10?

i guess item 3 is d price for d belt itself while item 10 is d labour cost. item 11 i guess is d general service labour charge n tat's y it's quite cheap.

talking abt timing belt, there's a member selling timing belt under d Buying n Selling section (sometime ago, cant remember his name exactly).
according to him (in d post), his belt cost RM170 including all d necessary items (tensioner, etc), with warranty card, somemore can last 100,000KM! his belt is non-original hyundai i guess, and it's from US if i remember correctly.

our original belt from korea only last 60,000km. =(
for those whose mileage has reached 60k, anyone tried other than original timing belt? if yes mind to share experience? first time i encounter timing belt only last 60k. 60k is jus too soon for me. even my 1994 kancil's can last 100k. altho my mileage now only 30k, but when reach 60k later i intend to change to something tat lasts longer.
but would love to hear (ideas, suggestions, experience, recommendations, etc) from our members 1st. anyone?

Why there is such a huge difference in pricing for ulalawuyei as compare to your service charges. RM150.00 difference and on top of that some more they bring thier own oil for them to top up. Something must be wrong somewhere?????. Can anyone or sifu or the old kakis help out on this question? Cherioos!!

I've done my 60k service today.
The price quite reasonable..

Engine oil castrol semi
oil filter
air filter
spark plug
petrol treatment
-All these items in a package RM 199.

Belting

Timing belt set including tensioner assy-vlv timing belt RM224
Altenator belt RM 38
P/steering belt RM 28
A-cond belt RM 38
Labour RM 112

Total : [/b]RM 440

In my opinion, no need to change the timing belt at 60k, we can wait until <100k... maybe around 80k. I look at my old timing belt (after change to new belt).. still good and I don't see any crack. I think our accent come with 100k belt and the replacement belt also the same. If u ask kah bintang i'm sure they will advice u to change at 60k. (marketing startegy.. tipu punya kaki) Laughing

just my 2yen

good luck with that, let's try it with your car first alright? let us know the results at 160,000km Very Happy

btw, no visible cracks doesn't mean there's no internal cracks. think about it ok? Smile
