hmm... i've already had my workshop did somethin to the rear fender.. basically 'cut' off some small particles from the fender... it doesn't do any harm to the car. this had reduced the chances of tyre kena fender, but not totally... juz not as frequent... hopefully in future can get better and stiffer springs to kill off this problem.

very bad luck lately... last week got some problem on the road.. and...juz now... when driving back after work... somewhere in sunway... road is dark... front left tyre kena some object... there goes my michelin pilot preceda.... rim oso kena scratch abit... haiz... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

have to drive slowly to 1 petrol station nearby to change spare tyre...

guys... my michelin tyres are about 1 year 5 months.. i feel the tyre are stil okay... but now the front left tyre 'gone case'... need to change to new tyre...

should i find back same michelin pilot preceda? should i change to new michelin pp2? or should i change both front tyres to the same type/model/design?... can i maintain the back 2 tyres?...

i really confused now... Sad

the rule of thumb is:

1. front 2 shall be the same tyre, rear 2 also shall be the same, go with a pair thing, if possible all 4. tyre manufacturer design their tyre works best with 4.

2. my recommendation is buy front 2 new one (PP2 or Eagle F1), the one that still can use either trade in or use as spare (if spare is not newer).

P/S: If you looking for good deals tyre shop, can recommend to a friend's shop, special discount for you

location is somewhere at sunway mas (behind dataran prima), we can meet up and bring u to the shop, price wise no worry, their pricing can par with Klang.

in that case direction given here:

from the November TT venue (Kayu restaurant):

1. go straight until u reach T junction, turn left.

2. all the way until u see a sign of "Sunway Mas" (made of bricks) infront of a cross junction (small one), turn left.

3. pass by "Aman Suria" apartment on ur left, pass 2 bumpers.

4. before you reach a cross junction turn in right (infront of a corner tyre shop)

5. go straight until u see a TNB station (small one) then turn right.

6. drive slowly until you see a big shop of tyre shop of Goodyear brand on your right.

walk in tell u are from AccentClub, speak to Mr Kent say u r introduced by David. call me if got doubt, PM me for my h/p.

thx for the directions. i've got ur h/p number b4 Wink

the tyre shop is Goodyear... they sell michelin oso rite? coz after some thoughts, i think i'll most likely go for michelin pp2, at least all 4 are michelin...

but i check from the previous post on tyre price list... goodyear eagle F1 is cheaper than MPP2 rite?...

but i have to admit both goodyear Eagle F1 and MPP2 are attractive, both tyre designs are good, modern, with great features...

if i were u i will choose Eagle F1 for front, eagle f1 handles wet roads better than Yokoham AD07 and Toyo T1R, including Bridgestone Potenza G3.

some say just a bit noisy in highway, but to me safety during wet condition is much more important than noise. any tyre going highway also noisy unless ur insulation darn good.

sorry for off topic.

p/s: i dun think off topic leh... u're giving advice on tyres mar (both MPP2 & Goodyear Eagle F1) Laughing

this morning go out rounding few rounds before go to work... checking out tyres... MPP2 in puchong i got RM250/pc Rolling Eyes , non of the shop i went got goodyear eagle F1 GSD3... so dunno how much izzit... Question

then i went to sunway, check out the yokohama shop... i ask the price for advan neova AD07... the boss quote me RM240/pc... straight away i decide to give it a try... Wink

so now ended up 2 front tyre using yokohama advan neova and 2 rear tyre using MPP...

1 day driving experience after the tyre change... yokohama road grip GREAT! corner handling EXCELENT!

now need to monitor the tyres on wet condition and oso how is the tread-wear for these tyres.
